Hermes' Bride

Cry beside me,
Hermes' bride,
in letters sealed,
fulfilled with lies.

Your trust of lighting,
My love of word,
My doubt of womb,
Your fear of mold.

A cave can cast,
What sun can breed,
A loving life,
What moon might kill.

You hold the key,
The bell is sound,
Forever lost,
And nowhere found.

However be,
But be so bold,
And seed will last,
So long it's sawn.

And so we are,
Both first and last,
By lust, we feast
And thirst, we must.

As we contrive,
The waves are met,
And we hold hands,
Below the set.

In this old race,
The young and old,
The same old face,
Is bought and sold.
